None of the couples I worked with are professional models - they are just ordinary people. Most have never taken any photos before and come to me raw as is. All of those candid photos you see didn't "just happen" ... they were carefully directed by me.
I pay close attention to each couple, read their chemistry, personality, emotions. I often say that I don't pose but rather guide. I cannot "pose" your affection or force emotions. I want all of those to be as close to real "you" as possible.
Some of my favorite photos came to life right after I told my clients that we're finished shooting. That's when all the genuine, real interactions happen. So I keep my camera ready for those lovely moments.
